John Michael was born and raised in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Majoring in both Marketing and Advertising at the University of Alabama, he earned the highest graduating GPA of all College of Communication & Information Sciences graduates of his commencement term, and he earned the second-highest C&IS major graduate GPA of any student between 2016 and 2020. As a student at the University of Alabama School of Law, John Michael clerked at both plaintiff and defense firms each for a full year, where he discovered his passion for defending clients to preserve full and fair justice. Before joining Gaines Gault Hendrix, he defended clients in probate proceedings in Colbert County, Alabama. When he’s not in the office, John Michael enjoys playing music and riding vintage motorcycles.
