ABOUT

Marc’s practice is focused primarily on defending businesses, commercial defendants and individuals in personal injury cases arising out of trucking and automobile accidents, premises liability, and complex commercial general liability (CGL) litigation. A member of the firm’s 24/7 Trucking Accident Response Team, Marc is experienced in the coordination of early response and investigation of accidents of varying size and severity. He has over twenty years of experience in representing contractors in the telecommunications infrastructure construction and maintenance industry.  Marc is an accomplished trial lawyer having tried several cases to verdict.

In addition to having won a national championship in trial advocacy in 2000 as a student advocate at the Cumberland School of Law, Marc has served his alma mater as a trial team instructor and helped coach two additional national champion law school teams in 2011 and 2012.

Marc is admitted to practice in the state of Alabama and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern District of Alabama as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Alabama State Bar Association, and the Birmingham Bar Association.

Marc belongs to professional organizations such as the Defense Research Institute (DRI) where currently, he serves as Vice Chair of the Insurance Coverage Specialized Litigation Group of DRI’s Trucking Law Committee. He is also a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.

Marc is an avid baseball fan.  In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, coaching youth baseball and spending time with his wife and family.
