Mr. Lehman has significant experience representing defendants in a broad range of cases involving automobile accidents, commercial transportation and trucking matters, construction litigation, dental malpractice, premises liability, and general insurance defense matters. Jeff also has considerable experience handling insurance coverage disputes including declaratory judgment litigation.
Jeff grew up on the west coast of Florida and graduated from the College of Business at Florida State University with a B.S. in Risk Management and Insurance. Prior to entering law school at the University of Alabama, Jeff worked as a commercial insurance underwriter for Chubb & Son in its offices in Tampa, Florida and Birmingham, Alabama. Jeff is married to Linda, a Birmingham native. Their hobbies include reading, golf and travel.

  • Sophianopoulos v. McCormick, 192 Ga.App. 583, 385 S.E.2d 682 (1989); Associate professor brought libel action against medical school department chairman; summary judgment for defendant affirmed by appellate court.

  • Ruiz v. Pardue, 263 Ga. 146, 429 S.E.2d 912 (1993); Safety officer shared general contractor’s tort immunity where duty allegedly breached was nondelegable duty of general supervision and providing a safe workplace.

  • Parker v. Hovers, 255 Ga. App. 184, 564 S.E.2d 795 (2002); Plaintiff brought personal injury claim after suffering significant leg injury due to dislodged cemetery monument; summary judgment for defendant affirmed by appellate court.

  • Walton v. UCC X, Inc., 282 Ga. App. 847, 640 S.E.2d 325 (2006); Administrator of tenant’s estate brought wrongful death action against landlord after tenant struck by automobile crossing U.S. Highway 78 from temporary parking lot while permanent lot was being repaved; summary judgment affirmed by appellate court.

  • Employers Mutual Casualty Co. v. Shivam Trading, Inc., et al, 709 Fed. Appx. 663 (11th Cir., 2018); Summary judgment in declaratory judgment action brought by liability insurer of convenience store affirmed based on additional insured policy provisions resulting in no coverage for significant personal injury claim.
