Mr. Newton represents civil defendants, businesses, and employers in a wide variety of matters including complex commercial litigation, premises liability, and trucking accidents. Mr. Newton represents owners of retail establishments including the largest owner of shopping malls in the county, multiple large insurance companies in bad faith and fraud claims, and multiple religious institutions in cases arising out of purported sexual misconduct. He is admitted to practice in Alabama and Georgia including the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama, the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Daniel is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Birmingham Bar Association. He belongs to professional organizations including the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. He has served as a faculty member at the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association’s Trial Academy and has been listed in Super Lawyers every year since 2018.
In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and growing family. He also enjoys carpentry, ultralight backpacking, and following Auburn University athletics.
